New York..............What a wonderful town

I had a wonderful time in NYC, It was every thing I thought It would be and more. I saw the Today show being televised, which was a high light because I worked in the Audio Visual dept. of Toledo Public Schools and worked with cameras and sound equipment. I wanted that makeover I wrote about but did not get picked for it....darn it. Rode through Central Park, and walked the streets of Manhattan. I will show you a few of the pictures I took

1- We took a NYC taxi from JFK Airport to Manhattan. It was a 60.00 ride
2 - An empty area where the towers once stood.
3- Times Square
4-A memorial to John Lennon in Central Park

I will be back tomorrow with more pictures of the Big Apple
Till Then............Sharon K

Welcome back! I visited New York about 6 months after 911. It was serene and you could feel the sadness of the city and even still--the shock of it all. My entire family loved that city. I would love to go back and we hope to real soon. We drove there from Wisconsin and stayed in Jersey on the border of New York so it was only minutes away. We were told, be off the streets by dusk--and we were!
