Spring Time.........and My Memory Shelf

Spring time is here in Ohio. We have had many lovely days filled with sun shine and fresh air. Windows have been open during the day and I can now look out and see green trees. I love the spring time when the tulips bloom and the birds are singing. I have been busy working between the condo and our small place at the lake ( Lake Erie) . We are now ready for summer in both places.........except for planting flowers which I will do closer to Mothers Day. It took me much longer then I thought to get over the first cataract surgery, I guess each of us heal in our own ways. Now that I am ready for the second eye surgery I am feeling well and I do see a big difference in my eye sight I had the right eye done and will do the left eye tomorrow. Every one says that you notice a big difference after both eyes are finished...........So I have a lot to LOOK forward to.

I love pictures in black and white and this one is of Lake Erie in the early morning hours. It is at times like this that I sit back and thank God for the beauty of this land.
I again wanted to show all of you in blog land my memory shelf. So many of us have lost loved ones and this is my little shelf where I van look and remember my family. The little book with the rose is a book of my Mothers and the red glass is one that sat in my Mothers dining room where I grew up. The angels represent my Mother Father and only sister. The dish with the rose is a dish that my mother use to eat of when she was a little girl. The pictures are of my sister and my self. The picture in the middle is of my parents at my senior prom. I was a class officer and they were chaperone's at the dance. I have so many happy memories in this little corner of the world....( My Memory Shelf.
I will be back in a day or so and I am sure that I will SEE just a little bit better. Love U...

Hi Sharon, I had my cataract surgery three years ago and have never been so happy about my vision. I wore glasses for 50 years and no longer need them except for reading.

Hello from Ohio! I am sooo envious of you having a home on Lake Erie! How fun! I try to get to the shore of at least one of the Great Lakes every summer, even if it's just a day trip.

Your blog is so beautiful! I'll be returning to it often to check out all your wonderful posts and pictures!

Glad you have now recovered from the first surgery, Sharon...hopefully, the second one will make things even better!

Love the photographs...I've never been to Ohio but my mom was born and raised there and she's always talked about her memories growing up in Freemont and Cleveland.

Your memory shelf is charming!

Hi Sharon,
I'm a bit late getting around, so by now you've had your surgery. I'm praying that all went well and your vision has already improved a lot!
I love your memory shelf. Willow Tree angels are one of my favorite things to collect too.
