Hi to all and I am still thinking spring in Ohio, it has been a very cool spring but with the holiday weekend fast approaching I am pretty sure we will have spring in the air. We have had one week of cold winds and and no sunshine so we are ready for warm weather and a weekend of fun in the sun. I want to share a few pictures of spring time at the cottage. a few flowers and my little sun room that looks out to the pond.
This is the fire place that is decked out in its spring time look. I have many books on decorating and a few on gardening, witch I am some what new to, having the pond at the lake and a small garden at the condo I am learning slow but sure what flower to put just where.........
This is stain glass that Charlie made many years ago, which hangs in the sun room and is so pretty when the sun reflects it.
This is my spring time arrangement that I got for Mothers day and it came with the gloves and gardening hat, just to cute........
I want to share the pictures of the pond behind our condo. I call the little pond Golden Pond, so now I can say I live on Golden Pond. Charlie enjoy fishing and has caught a few big ones,he throws then back in but enjoys the catch. Winston is watching him fish in the picture but you can not see him. Nothing like a boy and his dog finishing on golden pond.
I wish every one a wonderful Memorial Day weekend filled with sunshine and flowers blooming in there own garden. Good bye for now from Amelia Rose Cottage on Golden Pond.......sounds good, yes it does.........

I'm from Ohio too, and soooo ready for the warmer weather! It is supposed to be beautiful this weekend! How wonderful to live on a pond like that! Your husband looks like he is having so much fun fishing. Your Mother's Day present is really sweet! It looks darling on top of your fireplace.
Your flowers and pond are lovely.

Beautiful! It looks so peaceful there.... how lucky you are to be able to live close to a pond... I bet wildlife is abundant there...
Have a happy long weekend!

So lovely, Sharon! The little mother's day arrangement is absolutely the cutest thing! What a blessing to be able to live "On Golden Pond," but better still, that makes you Katherine Hepburn!! lol Oh, and Charlie gets to be Henry Fonda, not to shabby, either ;o)
Oh, how pretty everything looks! Love your Mother's Day gift...
and the pond does indeed look so serene!
A blessed Memorial Day weekend to you!
Lovely pictures! The stained glass window is beautiful! And the pond - it is so soothing to look at water...

Beautiful, beautiful photos. And sweet names you have given to everything. :-)
Our spring has been kind of cool too. But it's warming again. We do seem to be behind many, in the flowers blooming department. But, they will come.

Happy Memorial Day to you and yours, dear Sharon:-) I do hope you have a fun day planned with your family! We don't celebrate it here in Canada but I know what an important holiday it is to my American friends.
I so love your cottage, so much love and care went into decorating it. I also love the Golden Pond...a perfect name for it:-) xoxo
Charlie did a wonderful job on your stained glass. I took classes and made some very pretty pieces. Such great keepsake for someone later on down the road.
Hugs,
Hi Sharon! I love your flowers and your photos..how lovely! That stained glass is gorgeous too!
Blessings,
Robin
Hi Sharon, Just popping in to say hi and see what you're up to. That truly is a beautiful 'Golden pond' (wasn't that a great movie?). How lovely to be close to a body of water. Having lived at the beach for years in Australia, I really miss the water.
We've had a cool spring too. I'm ready for some warmth, aren't you?
How fun, my husband is from a a small town on Lake Erie, called Lakeside. It is near Port Clinton. Enjoyed your blog.
