LINDSEY and AUSTIN............

If I had known that Grandchildren were this much fun I would have had them first.......yes I would have.
Lindsey and Austen came to visit with Gram and Gram pa, for a week. We had lots of fun, swimming every day at Grams beach and playing on the swings and slides at Grams little beach park. We had reading time and arts and craft time. We even picked straws to find out who would take a shower first. We some how have more time to to make every thing in to a game then moms do.Some times moms get just a little to busy for the games in every day life. We went to an old cemetery which you can see in the back grown of this picture. We also went climbing through a cavern, which by the way was not a good thing for the older generation..........gram and gr amps had sore knees and a bad back by the time we saw the light again. The best time at the caverns was mining for gold. Lindsey and Austine found many gems and a few sharks teeth. Austin is 5 and just young enough to wear his cure hat the whole day. Of course to complete the day we had to go to a fish farm where they fed the fish, but that was by now old to them for they had fed the fish every evening in the pond behind Grams cottage. The day was finished with lunch at Berger King which is Austins favorite place. I have to say both of the grandchildren got along so well with the 5 year difference in there age. At the end of the week I was worn out and tired and for sure know why we have children when we are young. My whole summer is going by so fast and there is so much to do that I have not kept up with my writing or reading of blogs like I would like to do. I think in the summer we all have so much to do that we just can not fit every thing in to our busy schedules. And they said retirement would be boning..........NOT..........
I will leave on the 5Th of August to spend 5 days with 6 girls that I went to grade school and high school with. I will take my camera and show you just a little bit of the fun we will be sure to have. Be back soon.............

Great to see a post from you again!
Your grandchildren are precious. I love the Port Clinton area. I wasn't aware that there was a cavern where you could pan for gold! How cool! The only cavern I know of is on Put-in-Bay.

Sounds like a great week!
