COME SAIL WITH ME

It was a pretty day with the sun shining bright, Charlie and I went to a sail boat race at a small lake in the Villages. The sail boats are 3 foot models and remote controled. I would say that most of the men used to be old salts up north. They have marks that they have to go around and a finish line. It was fun to watch the boats out on the race course. Charlies birthday is the first day of Spring and after going to the races and watching how much fun the remote boats can be he has decided when we get back up north he will go birthday shopping and find his own little boat. We have a pond behind the cottage and live on Lake Erie all summer so he will have all the water he needs to go float his boat.

In the picture above we are getting ready to go to the Dogie Run Run Park, Winston is waiting for me to get in the car. He loves the chance to play and run around with out his leash . I love the color of the flowers below and can you spot the ducks in the water under the tree. .We have one more week before we head up north to Ohio, I hope that on March 20 the sun will shine and the tulips will grow......think Spring every one.

Boys love their toys..I hope Charlie can find a nice model boat.
I hope Spring is coming Sharon...today is milder and sunny with blue skies. I hope by the time you get back up North the snow will all be gone.

Hi Sharon,
What a gorgeous picture of the lake. I've been reading back and trying to catch up on everyone's news. As you know, I haven't been blogging too much since Christmas. Your photos of this beautiful area are just a lift to one's spirits!!
hugs!!

Spring is really on the way Sharon so you won't have too much nasty weather to contend with when you return home. Those azaleas are the variety Formosan Lavender, my favorite color of all the azaleas.
