Any one who knows me well will know my favorite color is red. Yes even red lipstick, to this day you will see me and my red lipstick. I love the color red and you can see this in my home my clothes and my lips.I have a cute little story to tell. Tammy called up last night laughing and telling me that she was working with letter flashcards with Austin. She was showing him the letter
Q and he said this is myGrandma Sharon, the q was for queen and of coures the queen had my bright red lipstick on
I decorated my bedroom in red, I found a wallpaper I liked and had the paint made in the same red color. We moved in a year ago and It has taken me a while to
decide on black and white accents to
go with the room . I am looking for a black and white
toil print for the bed, I now have white sheers with little red roses and I will make black and white checked valances and seat covers for the chairs. I
have bought a few
as series in black and white for the room while
shopping at the Villages. When I get home and put the room together I will post the finished results. To me decorating is like painting a picture.....I keep working on it till I get it just right.
If you have a favorite color do not be afraid to go with that color in decorating your home. If it is a color you love go for it and be bold. Your home should be about you and the things you love. The picture above is in my bedroom, and I love my red walls. I just got a new purse and guess what color it is? You all have a good weekend while I sit and look at more of my decorating books.

Ha....yes, Sharon, you do love red...I love everything red in your home.....you have just the right knack....I remember when we stayed at Carolyns and your lips were always red, and I said I never see you put on lipstick but your lips always have red lipstick on.....hummmmmm it was that special all day lipstick....remember I bought some and tried it....but I wasn't a straight line putter on er.....and had a permanent one side higher that the other lip....LOL.....but I tried, cause I wanted red lips too......
I think that is so special that Austin thought of you when he saw the queen with the red lips....

It is absolutely frigid outside today so I'm staying inside where it's nice & warm and visiting all my blogging friends! No better way to warm up than that:-)
I always love to see pictures of how you decorate a room...it always looks so beautifully put together. I so love red and although I don't wear red lipstick (always pink lol), my kitchen is done up in bright country reds.
Love those two little vintage dresses you have hanging in your bedroom. Every time I'm at the antique shop I try to find a child's vintage white nightgown but no luck so far.
