Old Family Pictures

As you know I love the look of yesterday, any thing that is old and vintage. If the vintage item tells a story that is better yet. If the story is about a long ago loved one then it is a family antique that has and always will be a treasure to me. The picture above of the man women and child once hung upstairs in my mothers home. I often admired it when I went up stairs. One day I asked my Mom why she had it hanging up stairs where few people would see it. She then said to me where should I hang it and I said in my home. She then took the picture down and gave it to me and it has been hanging in my livingroom ever sence. I love decorating with the vintage look and would would be better then a family picture of my mother, grandmother and grandfather.

I also love the old black and white family photos. We have a sofa table in our living room that is filled with them. Very comforting. The circle of life.

Family photos are a real treasure. Please make sure you have the names on the back of the photos or picture frame for future generations!!
