October..Where did summer go?

I know I have been busy working on my home made Christmas but just where did the time go? It has been forever since I have taken the time to blog or read all my favorite blogs and just where did summer go? This will be my first autum season in Ohio for nice years and I am so looking forward to all the season has to offer. But where did summer go. Wow I guess I have been busy. I love being here in Ohio because I have been able to be a part of mt grandchildrens every day life. I am going in to a football game tonight to watch Nick play and Brittany cheer. It has been a warm fall so far and this weekend it will be in the 80,s which is a good thing for Charlie who is not so sure about weather in Ohio. I have been busy with my idea of making all my gifts for Christmas and the time has passed by so fast. I miss blogging and reading my favorites which is far better reading then a good book. I have taken a longer then I thought brake but I think I am caught up enough to do all the things I love to do. Any one out there that is retired and bored, just spend time with me and I will keep you busy...for sure. I have missed every one and will be back Monday with the saga of Amelia Rose Cottage. Have a safe and happy weekend and remember to thank God for each and every day. Sharon K

So glad you are enjoying being close to your grandchildren.
I love this time of year in Ohio, but today was a HOT one, wasn't it? Not exactly *autumnal* weather! But pretty all the same!

Hello dear Sharon:-) You've been missed, my friend, but I can understand how busy you've been. I find the days going by so fast, if I even blink I miss the day! lol I've always heard that a lot of people are busier after they retire than when they were working:-) Enjoy Autumn and have fun at the football game!! xoxo

That Summer flew by means you have been having lots of fun and that's a good thing. When we are all running around like mad, your Christmas preparations will be well under way. I hope the Fall stays like this for a good while yet.

I have traveled to Southern Ohio several times when I was younger and I remember Charm. I can remember the little things, the picturesque things. They have always stayed with me. I more often go to the Amish areas of eastern Indiana. It is always a nice escape and adventure.
I agree with your post saying that the older you get the faster the hours, days go by. Why is that?

You took the break you needed to take. And that is the best kind. :-) But I'm glad to see you back.

Happy Autumn!
