Thank You Sarah..............

I want to thank Sarah from the blog (Horizon) for the Nice Matters Award. Sarah, it is not only my first award but I love the vintage look of the picture. I am now to pick 8 ladies that deserve this award. I think most of us have got the award so........I am sending the Nice Matters Award to all the wonderful ladies that I have meant over the last year in blog land. I could have traveled the world over and never found such lovely and talented people. So to all..we know that nice matters....

Well it is almost September and I had better put in a few hours each week day to making those Christmas gifts that I am going to put under the tree. I started this project in early 2007 and my how the time does fly. I am bound and determined that this is the year for my home made Christmas. I had better quit thinking and talking about it and JUST DO IT.
Like the shirts that the teenagers use to ware I have to get busy and (do it) If there is any one out there that would like to give me some ideas for gifts.......I am so ready for NEW ideas......Please.......share with me..........I look at it now as a job but come December I know that I will be proud of the gifts that I took the time to make......Of course each gift will be made with love......So now I will think snow, decorating, trees, Santa, and that one thing we celebrate at Christmas.......The birth of Christ. Merry Christmas and much love to all........Sharon K

Congratulations on your award! =)..and if I think of any nifty Christmas gift ideas I'll pass them along. right now, I can't think of Christmas gifts yet...I'm stuck in the luxury of blooming flower beds...and the song of locusts. One thing I've wanted to do for ever so long...is embroider initials on little linen bags and fill them with lavender for gifts. Hoping your day is tranquil and special...

Hi Sharon, congrats on the award.
Now you must tell us what skills you have and some idea of who might be receiving them if you want suggestions for making your holiday presents. Hand made are always the very best in my opinion. they have so much more meaning.

Congratulations on your award Sharon. Christmas will indeed be here before we know it. Was was so dull and cool today, it felt like Fall. We went for a drive and were shocked to see that some of the trees have started to change colours already!

Dear Sharon,
Congratulations on receiving your award! You ARE so nice! :o) I am like you...my mind is wandering toward Christmas and I am also looking for ideas. I have so many books with lovely projects. I just need to choose some and get busy! Our immediate family also has 8 Sept/Oct birthdays, so by the time those have come and gone, I feel like it HAS been Christmas...lol. One thing I would like to make for my girls is a cookbook with favorite recipes in it. I will share more about that on my blog in the weeks ahead. Blessings!

Sharon,
I am so thrilled to find you!! I have been reading Mary over at Isabella's Closet for a while now and I asked if she knew any other Ohio gals. She sent me over your way....and I am so very glad she did!! I can't wait to have the chance to read your older posts and get to know you. I live on the west edge outside of Toledo! You are a stone's throw from me!!
I saw that your daughter was born in 1963. So was I. Can you adopt me and make it be twin girls? I also read your mention of Put-In-Bay. My husband is a truck driver for a Toledo food wholesaler and he takes his work truck on the ferry there twice a week during the touristy months to deliver to the various bars and restaurants. As a matter of fact...can you guess where he is TODAY?? He delivers in your town too.
I am so glad I have found you. Do you take applications for new friends???!
