My Memory Shelf..................And More

I have a place of honor in my home and it is this memory shelf. I have a picture of my mother and father and my sister who have all passed away. Also a picture of me and that was my family. The plate with the rose is a plate my mother use to eat on when she was a little girl. The red glass is one of four my mother had in her china cabinet while I was growing up. The small bible was my sisters. The glass heart hanging was a gift from my sister Jo Ann. And of course the angels represent the family that has passed on.
The lamp is from my mothers aunt and is also one of the many antiques that was part of my mothers family. Another favorite from years pass is the chamber pot..I think that was what it was called years ago. And I wonder why I like antiques.........my family antiques and those of others. I am back at the cottage this week and love all the room I have. Of course the camera is at the trailer at the lake. We live close enough that if I forget something I can go and pick it up. I want to start posting every day or so but can not always think of something special to post about. If I had my camera with me all the time I could take more pictures along the way......hint......maybe a new little camera for my birthday......Charlie.........
I will have to make sure he reads this post. I have a lot of reading ....of blogs to do before I start dinner so to all I wish you a happy Monday and hope I can think of something to post tomorrow.....Now for that tall glass of ice tea. Sharon K

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for stopping by to see me. Jack and Dave are to well fed and won't fit into the mini aprons.
Back at the cottage for a short stay? Or is it back and fouth as you feel like it?
So sorry to hear your blog went into outer space, you gotta wonder where they go and what button you pushed that sent it there. Well just keep posting and soon enough you will have a whole new one.

I was so touched by your wonderful memory shelf, Sharon. I think my favorite thing was the little rose plate that your dear mother used to eat off as a child. Isn't it so nice to be surrounded by these "tangible" things that we can see everyday that remind us of our loved ones? Even better though, are the memories that are tucked in our hearts forever! This post (along with the beautiful pictures) really touched my heart.

I'm glad you're back enjoying your lovely new Cottage, this week. :-)

Imho, don't worry about posting daily. Just go with the flow.

Sometimes, you may have more than one 'thing to say,' in one day. Sometimes, you may not have the muse on your shoulder, for a day or two. We understand.

I kind of think it happens to all of us... Our muse comes and goes. :-)

Hugs,
Mari-Nanci

Sharon, I missed this post when I signed your guestbook above. You have some very pretty things and a talent for putting them into little vignettes that show them off to perfection.
