Flowers And a Bit Of Cherry Delight.....
The Beauty Of A Flower
It was a warm summer weekend at the lake, people swimming, sail boats sailing and good old relaxing with a good beach book in a comfortable chair. Vista Villa is a weekend adventure for people in Toledo, Cleveland, and Columbus Ohio It is a place where the fast pace of work is forgotten. I took a walk and took a few pictures of the beauty of this place we call home in the summer time.
We not only have the beauty of the lake and sun sets but we also have the beauty of the flower gardens through out our little piece of heaven.
On my walk I stopped at a friends patio for a refreshing glass of ice tea and found out it was her 39th anniversery and her husband had sent her a beautiful bouquet of roses. Of course I asked if I could take a picture of her roses and this is the picture that we liked the best. Congradulations Pat and Bob.........
We had a pot luck at the lake this weekend and I made a refreshing summer desert called cherry delight. What I like about this desert is that it is so easy to make and I want to share it with all of you so the next time you have to make a quick something for family or friends here it is....................................
1 20 oz can of crussed pine apple....drained
1 can cherry pie filling
1 can sweetened condenced milk
12 oz tub cool whip
Mix together and freeze. Remove from freezer about an hour before serving.
I get it out of the freezer about 1 hour before serving. Yes it was a good weekend at the lake. Now it is Sunday evening and every one has left to go back to work. I count my blessing every weekend that I am retired and can stay all week and enjoy the beauty of Vista Villa. Now is the time I sit back and have that refreshing glass of ice tea and say life is good.........Sharon K

Howdy Sharon.....funny thing is that your summer place is just around the corner of your winter place.....I love them both.....pretty pictures of flowers....and your cherry delight is something that is a traditional food at Christmas, and Thanksgiving with my family....only thing is my kids have always called it "pink stuff" and still do......but I never put it in the freezer....just made it up and put if frig..... tell Gail I said HI! they keep promising rain, and it is getting dark, but heck it will probably just pass over....I hope it don't shut off electicity, for tonight is "So you think you can dance".....and....and.... oh well I have no life so I have to live by reality tv.....LOL say hi to Charlie and Winston too.......
Gorgeous flowers, Sharon! Such bright and happy colors! Your cherry delight looks delicious..YUM!

Oh everything looks heavenly, there. Including the dessert of course.
I read in your finish-the-story but I'm not much good at such. You have such clever people there though. You've quite the story going!!! I have to come back and see WHAT that wee little animal IS! :-)
