My Flower Show

Oh how the time flies, another few days and we will be counting the days in September. I love this time of the year with the cool breezes and the pretty sunsets looking out over Lake Erie. Above are a few pictures I took while in Michigan a few weeks ago. The sad thing about September is that the flowers start loosing there bright colors. All though fall is the time of year I love with the changing colors, apple orchards, pumpkins and a fall craft show or two. I will be changing the look of my cottage by adding my Au tum Halloween and Thanksgiving tree, and working on curb appeal with my fall wagon and pumpkins in front of my little cottage. I have to get busy and change the look of my blog to go with the up and coming season. Summer has been a very busy time for me and I am going to start to slow down and smell the flowers. take time to read that good book and also take the time to read all of my favorite blogs which sometimes is much better then that good book. Oh how could I forget on September 15Th I am going to the big apple. New York city here I come, and how long have I been looking forward to this trip.......( FOREVER)
I have a wonderful friend Mary Jane from the state of New York and she has invited me to visit her brother who lives by Central Park for five whole days . I have bells on my toes and my luggage packed for this trip of a life time. After that I will slow down and smell the flowers. Have to go and work on my new look for My Amelia Rose Cottage but will be back real soon. I will take my camera to the big apple and take just a few pictures to share with all of you.

What beautiful flowers! I too get sad to see my summer flowers fade away, but then the mums come up and the leaves change color and the air gets such a wonderful crispness. I still miss my flowers though. I would have loved to watch the sun set over Lake Erie this summer, but it wasn't in the cards.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip to the Big Apple!

Oh the flowers are beautiful! Do you change out your blog for the seasons? What a great idea. I hope you show the pic's of the wagon with the pumpkins. That sounds cute.

Hello dear Sharon:-)

The flowers are just beautiful! I've just come in from taking care of mine, they needed pruning and watering. It certainly is hard to believe that we're almost at the end of August...where did the summer go? I, too, love Autumn, though, so I'm looking forward to it:-)

Oh wow, you're going to New York soon....how excited you must be:-) You will have a wonderful time I'm sure and of course I'll look forward to the pictures!! xoxo

Hi Sharon,
Your flowers are beautiful! After all the heat we've had, mine are a bit droopy.
Have a fabulous time in NYC. That does sound like the trip of a lifetime!

Lovely flowers, and it's in the 90's here, no cool breeze, but I'm hopeful....enjoy you time in New York....

those flowers are beautiful. Lucky you going to New York. I was there once right after 911, and I loved it. I was there when the atmosphere was very solemn...but its an absolutely amazing city.
