Welcome To Southern Ohio..............

What a fun day we had in beautiful Amish country. There was a breeze in the air and a look of fall, with pumpkin candles burning in the shops. We had a wonderful time and just kept going and going. We saw so many lovely rolling hills which I do not see in the area of Ohio where I live. I would like to share a couple pictures that I took while on the trip.The Amish homes, the horse and buggy's, are all the sights you will see in this area of Ohio, which is a calming and relaxing place to visit.The flowers that lined the streets and we saw as we traveled were beautiful, and also had a look of the up coming season.I found the most wonderful Victorian shop and I am sure I was in there for an hour just looking for the special treasures that would go home with me to Amelia Rose Cottage.This is a covered bridge we found in a little Amish town called Charm. We stopped there to find a bakery where I could get Charlie a home made apple pie, of course I will have to get the ice cream to go with it.
This is a picture of Marylin trying to decide which shop we should visit next.
We ended that day with a visit to a Java Joe's where I had a wonderful cold Chi tea with lots of whip cream. Of course that took the place of dinner, it was a wonderful desert,then we went to our Bed and Breakfast where there were a few choc late chip cookies waiting on the table for us. It was a wonderful get a way and a fun girls day and night out. I will now take pictures of the treasures I bought and share with you tomorrow. Have a good Tuesday and be thankful for the day.......Sharon K

Beautiful pictures. You are about the one millionth person who has shown gorgeous pictures of Ohio. That state must be something else! I'm tempted to visit. Is the tourism bureau paying you guys? lol

Thanks for the visit to my blog. 9/11 is weighing on me heavily this morning. It's comforting to know others are thinking about it as well.

Hi Sharon I haven't visited your blog in a while. Love the photos of your trip, everything is so pretty. Fall is a favorite season with so many of us with all it's beautiful colors, smells and wonderful bounty. I wish we could feel a little like Fall here but alas it's still muggy and hot.

The rolling hills you show in your photo are very like the ones in our part of Ontario. You look to have had a good time, and I'm waiting to see the lovely things you bought.
That cold Chi tea with cream sounds delish..!

Sharon Kay, What lovely photos of Amish country. I too enjoy going there in the Fall, it's so beautiful.. The one place looks like it was in Berlin or Walnut Creek Ohio? Maybe?
Thanks for sharing you great photos! ~Mary~ :-}

Your trip sounds like great fun and it looks like such a pretty area. Our daughter went to college in Athens, Ohio. I visited her there once.
Thanks for sharing these lovely photos.
I know what you mean about the summer racing by. I'm so happy about this lovely warm weather we're having...it's making summer last a little longer and that's always a blessing to me :)

Southern Ohio is so beautiful. My husband is from Lakeside Ohio. We live in Northern Kentucky. I love your area so much. My husband longs to move home, hopefully we will end up there one of these days. I enjoyed visiting your site. Have a great weekend!
